With such an incredible school and surroundings what could possibly be UCSD’s best kept secret?

Raquetball group shotWell, Shirley Hill, coach of the Racquetball Rec Class, says that Recreation’s RIMAC facility and it’s racquetball courts are top of the list. Shirley would know, since she started this class in 1989, even before RIMAC was completed. The Racquetball Rec Class is open to all levels of players, from those who don’t even know the basics, to seasoned veterans of over 20 years. Shirley will help walk you through the paces of this unique workout, from fundamRaquetball Actionentals to complex serves that use all the walls, floor and ceiling of the court that make this sport as exciting as it is challenging.

If you are interested in mixing up your cardio workouts and adding some arm strengthening workouts as well, these are the classes for you. With a coach who knows all of her students’ names and life stories, there is no better environment to learn this great sport. Grab a friend and get involved in this excellent workout and entertaining sport!

If you just want to learn the basics of this fast-paced racquet sport, there is a FREE two-hour clinic offered before each quarter so you will have a foundation for playing the sport in your free time!
